SIT TO AnGUS SHOPS
On Saturday, February lL~th, about thirty r.lembera and
friends of the Associe.tion participated in a visit to the Angus Shop of the
Call~dian Pacific Rnilwaj. furing the three-hour visit, ,.,.hich included all of
the main shop
buildings, the group ,.,.as escorted iy 14r. if.D. Dickie, the Works
Hanager, and oight other members of the supervisory stf.l.ff. The functions of
the cHfferont shops were explained to the visitors by Mr. j)ick1e nnd his assist­
ant s, nnd everyone concluded that it was as interesting a morning as the Assoc­
iation has ever arranged.

!~roup came across the boilers of the engines of tho for1er Fl class
Atlantic type engines, ·,hich were reRdily identifiable by the Belpairc typo
fireboxes. While the prototype engines were scaayped in 1917, tho boilers had
been in use until recontly as stationery ioilers Rt tho former Outremont shop.
Dlring tho month of !(arch, the Trip Cor:u:ai ttce hes planned
an eJtcursion in articulated IIDuplex car 2501 of the Montreal Transportation
Commiss1on for the purposo of riding: ln, and photographi~ the unit, ac n prop­
osal has been made to convert cars 2500 and 2501 to conventional, doulc-truck
ono-man cars. The v)rico of tho excursion will be approximatoly ~1.50 per
person and. details will be made kn01lll at the March meeting. Tentative dato is
set for Saturday, March 14th.
